A Process of Discovery

Originally focused on a career in sport, Randy studied Sports Management and started his own successful company organising local and larger-scale sporting events. When the pandemic brought that chapter to an unexpected end, Randy found a different and fulfilling career path helping communities and the government better understand one another.

The Power of your Personal Story

At the end of last academic year, Randy returned to the BSN to deliver an inspiring keynote speech to our Year 13 on their last day of school. He spoke with warmth and humour about his upbringing, career, and finding his place in society where he could use his talents and experiences to best effect.

Reflections on Community Building

Following his speaking engagement, Randy recorded this interview in which he builds on many on those themes. He shares insights into working with people from different backgrounds, understanding them and building trust. He also shares advice for discovering a career that aligns with your talent and values.

Among his proudest achievements are two projects that have delivered lasting benefits to local communities, demonstrating the positive impact created when people are brought together and heard.
